WPOC Welcomes Eden's Edge to the 88th Black-Eyed Susan People's Pink Party to benefit. Join WPOC & Laurie DeYoung Friday, May 18th at the Pink People's Party with special guests Eden's Edge as they perform in the Turfside Terrance, all to benefit Susan G Komen for the Cure.
When it comes to making great music, kindred spirits somehow seem to find each other and such is the case with Edens Edge. Three talented young musicians from Arkansas -- Hannah Blaylock, Dean Berner, and Cherrill Green --make their debut on Big Machine Records with a vibrant sound that honors country music’s roots while creatively pushing the envelope with their seasoned musicianship, dazzling harmonies and insightful songwriting.
For the third consecutive year, Pimlico Race Course and the Maryland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® join together to raise funds to aid awareness on Black-Eyed Susan Day. The People’s Pink Party, Black-Eyed Susan Day's premier event, will welcome the general public for live races including the Lady Legends for the Cure II, the return of the $30,000 all-female Jockey Challenge, the $250,000 Black-Eyed Susan Stakes, and special events throughout the day including the return of the famed Pimlico Special Stakes, once the celebrated match race between Seabiscuit and War Admiral. On Black-Eyed Susan Day, 88 breast cancer survivors will be invited as guests of Pimlico, where they will be honored in festivities throughout the day. Pimlico will donate 10% of all Friday Turfside Terrace ticket sales (including the Friday portion of the two-day Preakness ticket) to Komen Maryland. Edens Edge, courtesy of Big Machine Records, will perform live in the Turfside Terrace, with host Laurie DeYoung of WPOC 93.1, official radio sponsor of the Turfside Terrace. Edens Edge has been profiled as one of Billboard's "Artists to Watch" and were selected as a CMT LISTEN UP! artist.
