Joe Nichols: Joe Nichols' recording career may have gotten off to a slow start way back in the mid-nineties. Now, Joe Nichols tour dates are a hot sell and are scheduled throughout 2011. In support of his most recent album, the country singer-songwriter is taking his act on the road and into the country. Joe Nichols concert dates are booked throughout the US and Australia this summer.

The Arkansas native got his start at a young age in the music world. His career began in a garage rock band in high school before landing a job as a DJ at country radio station. By twenty, Nichols had scored a recording contract with Interscope Records, who released his debut album in 1996. The self-titled debut featured the single "Six of One, Half a Dozen of the Other" which had minimal impact on the charts. He was quickly dropped from the label after the album's release. He rebounded with a deal with Giant Records, however, no records were produced during his short tenure at the label.

Nichols' dreams stalled until he met Nashville session musician, Brent Rowan, who helped Nichols secure a recording contract with Universal Records. His sophomore album and major label debut Man with a Memory catapulted Nichols to country stardom. it featured the lead-off single "The Impossible" which peaked at #3 on the charts and the second single "Brokenheartsville" peaked at #1 in 2003. The album was certified platinum and garnered Nichols a win for Top New Male Vocalist at the Academy of Country Music Awards as well as three Grammy nominations. Joe Nichols tour dates were scheduled alongside Alan Jackson in 2004.

While on tour, Nichols managed to release his third album in 2004 followed by a Christmas album release. In 2005, Nichols hit the pole position on the country charts with his signature single "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off". The cut was certified gold as was the album that it was pulled from. Most recently, Nichols released the album Old Things New in 2009 which featured the hit single "Gimme That Girl" which became his third single to hit #1 on the country charts.

Joe Nichols is currently prepping material for his as-yet-untitled eighth album. He released his Greatest Hits album in 2011 and is currently on tour to support the release.
